Corrections and accuracy

Technology moves and pages go stale. If something here is wrong, out of date, or points at a link that no longer resolves, tell us which page and what is wrong with it:

Corrections are made on the page itself rather than in a footnote, and the update date changes when they are.

Copyright and takedowns

We do not host installers or copyrighted files. Takedown notices have their own address and process, set out on the disclaimer and DMCA page.

Vendors and press

Coverage is editorial and is not for sale. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored posts, or link insertions, and we do not remove accurate coverage on request. If you maintain software we have written about and something is inaccurate, use the corrections address above and say which claim is wrong.

What we cannot help with

We are not a support desk for the software we write about. For a bug in a product, the vendor's own support channel will get you a better answer than we can, and we link to it on the relevant page.
