CodecPath does not require an account, login, or email to read content. We do not sell data to third parties.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (server-side, no cookies) to understand which pages are visited. No personal identifiers are stored.

Articles link to vendor websites, official stores, and documentation pages. Once you leave CodecPath, the destination site's privacy policy applies. We have no control over their data practices.

Browser tools

Tools like the Codec Finder run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Files are never uploaded to our server.
